Clear Medium Wave Carbon Fiber Heating Tube: The Industrial Heater That Just Gets It Done
We built the Clear Medium Wave Carbon Fiber Heating Tube for the industrial jobs that can’t afford to wait around. The kind where you need heat, and you need it fast—with control that’s tight and predictable. It’s a quartz-wrapped infrared emitter that packs serious heat into a small space, so you can plan your heating zones without turning your whole machine design into a puzzle.
Power, voltage, and size—kept simple
This tube runs on high voltage, usually 400V, and that’s the trick that lets it deliver high wattage—often around 2500W—without pushing a ton of current through the element. Less current means less energy lost in the wiring, and it helps the internal element stay steady even when you’re switching it on and off quickly. The light it puts out sits in the medium-wave band. That wavelength gets into a lot of materials nicely, without being as harsh as short-wave on components that are more sensitive. And the size? It’s meant to drop in. A typical 300mm length gives you enough radiating surface to hit a focused zone, but it stays compact enough that you can slip it into an existing slot without reworking the reflector or the frame.
What’s inside—and why it matters
At the core is a carbon fiber heating element, sealed inside a clear quartz envelope. Quartz is tough. It can handle high temperatures, shrug off thermal shock, and stay stable when the tube is pushed through repeated heat cycles. And because the envelope is clear, nothing blocks the infrared output. It also helps the tube come up to temperature fast—often in seconds. You’ll see an R7s connector on the ends, and that’s not by accident. It’s a practical, two-pin setup that’s common in linear lamp holders, so installation is quick and the connection stays solid. If your machine layout calls for something different, we can work with other termination options. But R7s is the default because it makes replacement straightforward.
Where this tube shines in the real world
This is the kind of heater you want when your process depends on speed and repeatability. Think plastic work—like PET blowing—where you need predictable heat on the preform without turning the whole area into an oven. It also fits naturally in printing and coating lines, adhesive curing, and localized drying—anywhere you want the heat focused on the target, not drifting across the machine. The result is simple: it heats up fast, holds steady, and it’s built to survive a production floor that never stops. Now, there’s one thing to keep in mind. Because it delivers high heat density, your machine needs to be set up for it. Cooling, clearance, and reflector geometry matter. If you plan the thermal path properly, the tube performs consistently. If you don’t, it can run hotter than intended, and that will cut its service life. Get the details right, and this tube becomes the dependable piece that keeps your process moving.
