Where This Actually Works (and the Trade-offs)
If you’re doing PET blowing, curing paint, or running drying lines, these are your best bet. They penetrate materials fast. Seriously fast. They hit operating temperature way quicker than ceramic or metal ever could. But it’s not all magic. There is a trade-off. Because the heat density is so high, those quartz tubes getdangerously hot. You can’t just leave them exposed. You’ll need a solid guard or a cooling system for the chassis, otherwise, you’re going to melt your plastic parts or keep tripping your thermal sensors. Wire it up right, and you’ll get those lightning-fast cycle times without waiting around for a convection oven to warm up.
