Technical Deep-Dive
Here’s the power setup: 2500W running on a 400V circuit. That’s chosen to play nice with industrial power lines. The high voltage keeps the current load down, so you can run this on standard 16A wiring without rewiring the whole place. The tube is just 300mm long, so it fits into tight spots without fuss. You get a lot of heat packed into a small footprint.
Material & Design
Inside, you’ve got a black-coated carbon filament, all housed in a quartz envelope. That coating tunes the emissivity, pushing more energy into the 2–4 micron infrared band. In plain terms, it heats the surface directly, not the air around it. The connector is an R7s, double-ended and ceramic-based. It handles the high heat at the tube ends, and the whole thing drops in as a straight replacement. No special mounting hardware. Seriously, just swap it in.
Application & Benefits
On a barbecue rig, this lamp responds fast and gives you pinpoint control. It hits the grill surface hard and fast, searing meat without wasting time heating the air. That means shorter preheat times and a cooler operator station. But there’s a trade-off with that kind of power: thermal load. A 2500W unit running hard needs proper airflow and shielding around the grill to keep nearby components from overheating.
Reality Check
That power is a strength, but it comes with responsibility. Plan your enclosure ventilation and thermal separation from the start. Wire it up right, and this lamp will handle the daily grind of a busy grill line, shift after shift.
