Material and Design
Inside, a carbon filament is nestled in a quartz envelope. We chose quartz because it handles sudden temperature shifts like a champ and lets infrared energy pass through without a hitch. A halogen filler keeps that filament clean, which means the output stays steady over the life of the lamp—no annoying blackening. We also added a reflective coating on the outside. It bounces wasted energy back onto the filament, which boosts the temperature and cuts down on warm-up time. And the R7s double-ended connector? It locks the lamp in place and handles the high current without needing extra hardware. Just a solid, secure fit.
Application and Benefits
These heaters shine in industrial settings where space is tight and you need heat, fast. Think PET blowing, thermoforming, plastic welding—places where you need to hit a setpoint and stay there. The heat density is intense, which means you get up to temperature quickly. But with that kind of power, you do need to plan for proper cooling and mounting to prevent hot spots.
